Urgent Appeal

The house in Romania, Easter House is now no longer a financially viable property to house the number of children that live there. What is needed is a smaller and more cost effective property, but which will meet the future needs of the children over the next Ten to Fifteen years.

After months of talking and consultations, we are now convinced that the way forward is to create a self-funding and therefore sustainable, long term solution.

How?

1. To change the usage of the present property 'Easter House' into a Pension/Guest House, for Eco-Tourism along with a conference centre.
2. Purchase a second, smaller house to meet the changing needs of the children.
3. Once established the profits from the Pension/Guest House would go direct to the overheads of the new house.

A further challenge is time!

One of our major financial backers of the present house will be pulling out of its present role and handing over the house to our Romanian Foundation within the next twelve months.

What do these changes mean financially?

It means that a new house needs to be purchase, fully equipped and be ready to be fully operational within the next 12 months. Only then can tourist begin to use the Pension/Guest House.

We desperately need to start with £50,000 in order to purchase a suitable property. A further £50,000 would cover renovation, alterations, staffing and hopefully worry free running costs for the first Two to Three years until the Pension becomes established.

How are we to raise the money needed?

It may sound a daunting task; well it's not as difficult as it may appear. We need either 400 people or groups to either make a one off donation of £240 or twelve monthly donations of £20 per month. If we get the number of people we need this will give us £96,000 and if gift aided this amount would be plus 28%

Gift Aid provides a great opportunity for you to increase the value of your donation to our charity. Provided you are UK taxpayers, we can reclaim from the Inland Revenue the basic rate tax paid on your gift, boosting the donation by 28%. So a gift of £10 from you is worth £12.80 to us.
